Where our content comes from

You deserve to know exactly how the material you are studying was made. Here it is, plainly. For our full standards, see the content standards page.

We build from public law

Every question, answer, and explanation in ExamPass is an original practice question developed from public sources: Ontario legislation such as the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 and its regulations, which is public and available to anyone, and the published learning outcomes for the real estate salesperson program, which set out what students are expected to know.

These sources describe the same law and the same outcomes that every approved provider teaches and that every standardized exam is based on. That is why our prep works for students at any of the providers.

What we do not use

We do not copy, reproduce, paraphrase from, or build on any education provider's copyrighted course materials. Not Humber Polytechnic's, not Career College Group's, not Fleming College's, not Algonquin College's, and not anyone else's. We do not use or reproduce real exam questions. Our content is our own, written from public law upward.

Why this matters to you

Trust. When prep is built from the actual legislation and the actual published outcomes, you are studying the real thing, not someone's second-hand summary.

Integrity. We respect other people's intellectual property the same way we would want ours respected. Building only from public sources keeps us clean and keeps you clear of any material you should not be using.

Accuracy you can check. Because we work from public law, every concept traces back to a source you are allowed to read yourself. The current official text of the legislation is always the final authority. Where the law changes, the law wins.

A note on currency

Legislation and learning outcomes change over time. We work to keep our materials aligned with the current law and revise the affected material when it changes, but you should always treat the official, current sources as authoritative and confirm anything important against them.
