Meazure Learning administers the Ontario real estate licensing examinations as the Real Estate Council of Ontario's designated Assessment Service Provider, offering them in person at test centres across Ontario or virtually through online proctoring. Studying for a Meazure-administered exam means preparing for the environment as well as the content: a proctored, computer-based, 3 hour sitting with a basic on-screen calculator and online sticky notes, where no outside materials, devices or aids are permitted and you cannot mark up a paper question.
That last constraint matters more than it sounds. Many candidates have spent their entire academic lives underlining the question, and the first time they discover they cannot is during the exam.

Does it matter which education provider you studied with?
Not for the exam itself. Ontario's pre-registration program is delivered by four approved education providers, Humber Polytechnic, Career College Group, Fleming College and Algonquin College, teaching a common curriculum, and candidates from all of them sit the same standardized examinations administered by Meazure Learning. Your provider shapes how you learned the material. It does not change what you are assessed on or how the assessment runs.
Should you write in person or through online proctoring?
Choose on temperament and logistics rather than assumed difficulty, since the exam itself is the same. In-person removes the technical variables and the responsibility for your own environment. Online proctoring removes the travel and lets you sit somewhere familiar, at the cost of needing a compliant space and a reliable connection, and of accepting that a technical problem becomes your problem on the day. Confirm the current requirements for each format before deciding.
What tools do you have during the exam?
A basic on-screen calculator and online sticky notes for working through questions. That is the toolkit. There is no paper to annotate, no reference material, and no personal device. Both tools are genuinely useful, and both are noticeably slower than their physical equivalents if you meet them for the first time under exam conditions, which is the argument for practising with the constraint rather than around it.
Why does the on-screen format change how you should practise?
Because reading comprehension on screen behaves differently from reading on paper. Scrolling breaks a long scenario into pieces, you cannot see the stem and the options at once as easily, and there is nothing to physically mark. Candidates who have only ever practised from printed notes tend to read less carefully on screen. Practising in a browser, under time, closes that gap well before exam day.
How do you replace the habit of underlining the question?
Build a deliberate verbal routine to do the same job. Before looking at the options, say the question back to yourself in your own words, naming what is being asked and any qualifier such as first, must, best or except. This takes a few seconds and does what underlining used to: it fixes the actual question in mind before the plausible options start competing for attention. Practise it until it is automatic. How should you use the on-screen sticky notes?
Sparingly and consistently. Two uses justify the time: mapping relationships in a multi-party scenario, noting in a few words who is your client and who is self-represented, and setting up a calculation by writing what is asked for and which unit the answer needs. Do not transcribe the scenario. Decide before exam day which situations get a note, so you are not making that decision while the clock runs.
How do you manage pacing in a 3 hour computer-based exam?
Rehearse it. Sit at least one full timed practice exam in a single unbroken block so the duration is familiar, and practise flagging a hard question and moving on rather than stalling. Sustained screen concentration for three hours is a physical skill as much as a mental one, and candidates who have never done it in one sitting often find their accuracy falling away in the final stretch for reasons that have nothing to do with knowledge.
What should you confirm before exam day?
Identification requirements, arrival or check-in timing, what is permitted in the room, and, if you are writing online, the technical and environment requirements including any system check. These are set by the administrator and can change, so take them from the official source close to your exam date rather than from a classmate or an older forum thread. Doing this a week ahead leaves room to fix a problem.
How do you rehearse the environment rather than just the content?
Recreate the conditions. Practise on a computer, in a browser, with the timer running, using an on-screen calculator rather than the one you are fastest with, and without notes beside you. If you are writing online, do at least one practice session in the room and at the desk you plan to use. The goal is that nothing about the setting is new on the day, so all of your attention is available for the questions.
